Is Hot Wheels Unleashed worth buying?

 





Hot Wheels Unleashed is a 2021 racing video game developed and published by Milestone based on Mattel's Hot Wheels toy line. The game was released on September 30, 2021 for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. It is highly accessible yet full of advanced techniques, devilish shortcuts, and creative tools to master, Hot Wheels Unleashed is one of the best, most customizable, and most imaginative arcade racers I've played in at least a decade.


The gameplay shows a very cool 1:1 recreation of all Hot Wheels car in action where you race in a environment where everything is big. With tracks creatively weaved through lavishly detailed, and brimming with a catalogue of cars spilled straight out of the toy bucket, developer Milestone’s decision to double down on a brand of racing 64 times smaller than usual has been a consummate success. The campaign can sometimes feels awesome in a way that will make you impressed because of the wild twisty tracks.


One thing i love about this game also is because of the cars. There are various types of car that you probably have seen or played with ever since your a kid. Seeing these toys to be feature in the current game brings back memories. Take an example, the iconic Twin Mill and the 50th Anniversary Dodge Deora, one of the first 16 cars Hot Wheels ever made. The quality of each car created in this game are simply gorgeous. Down to the tiniest details, the texture differences between plastic and lacquered metal parts, the subtle mould lines left from the assembly process, the broad range of paint finishes, and the stamped text beneath the chassis carrying the model name and production year. This shows that the developer and the team behind this game really tried their best recreating a toy car in real life to in game cars that we can use and race against each other.

And with that being said, It is worth buying Hot Wheels Unleashed. My love for Hot Wheels will grow more and more if Hot Wheels keeps producing better car toys in the future for kids to play with. And as a Hot Wheel enthusiast myself, I'd be happy to see more of these games keep coming and soon will be recognized by many people.

Sneak peek of an upcoming Need For Speed: Unbound

  Need for Speed Unbound is an upcoming 2022 racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It was revealed by Electronic Arts(EA) on October 6, 2022. The game features an art style that merges street art elements like cel-shading and graffiti art with the more realistic art style of other Need For Speed games. The map is basically based in a fictional city inspired by Chicago called Lakeshore City. Aside from that, it has been shown that some of the customization are really wild in NFS: Unbound. Even the smoke effects are entirely different. EA really did manage to turn this one into a different game.
